How To Add a New Page
You can create simple pages yourself without much effort - it's easier than you think
Why should I add a page myself?
Simply put put, you don’t have to. You can always get in touch with FCD, and we will be more than willing to add your new page without a hefty quote and published in no time at all!
Though, adding a page yourself can be quicker if you’re confident because you can do it at any time of day like at 11pm before bed.
WordPress: Adding a New Page
- Login to your website dashboard.
- On the left sidebar, go to “Pages”.
- Click “add new” and begin typing or pasting your content.
- Customise the options – like uploading and turning on the featured image.
- Publish using the blue button in the top right.

WordPress: Changing the template
Depending how your website has been built, you may have access to change the template from the default. Usually this is done to give you flexibility (i.e. change of colour or a simplified template). This is a great way of adding diversity to your website pages, so they don’t look all the same and provide a option that’s right for your needs.
- Edit your newly created page.
- On the right sidebar, you should see an option called “template”.
- Click to change it to your desired template.
If you’re unsure how a template looks, try it! You can always go back and edit the page back to the default or another template.
